David Berman of Silver Jews, Purple Mountains, is dead

Silver Jews’ David Berman appeared to be making a comeback with his excellent new album under the moniker Purple Mountains.

Sadly, Berman, a great singer songwriter, died, according to his longtime label Drag City. He was reportedly 52.
